YouTube Shorts safe zone checker
Shorts place the title, channel name and the subscribe or CTA card along the bottom of the still. A price or legal line in that strip is easy to lose.
Drop the still or clip
See Instagram, TikTok and YouTube chrome on the offer. The file stays in this tab.
PNG, JPEG, WebP, MP4, WebM, MOV or M4V.
Why the safe zone matters
Instagram, TikTok and YouTube draw likes, captions, profile rows and shop buttons on top of the file. If the offer sits in that cover, people still see the ad. They do not see the deal.
- Wasted spend
- You pay for the impression. If the price, the logo or the shop button sits under likes and captions, the message is unreadable.
- Brand risk
- The mark or the claim is what must stay visible. A covered logo is not a brand appearance.
- Last look
- Catch it before Ads Manager, not after the budget is live.
A bad still and a good still
Same serum, same 9:16 frame. The only change is where the 50% off sits.
Bad
Good
The engagement rail sits on the right. Like, comments and share cover a tall column. Keep logos and offer text out of that stack.
Drop a 9:16 PNG, JPEG or WebP. The file stays in your browser. Nothing uploads for a score.
Overlays are approximate guardrails from public guidance and measured templates. They are not a certification from Google. Always preview in Google Ads or YouTube before you spend.
